Life Exposure: Images of Community is an arts engagement project aimed at bridging diverse communities across the Bulkley Valley. Inspired by Positive Living North's Reflections of Hope Camera Project, we aim to build on the spirit of that project by welcoming residents from Houston, Telkwa, Smithers, Moricetown, Hazelton, and every community in between to participate.

Together with our community partners and ambassadors, we invite you to answer one or more of the Community Questions below with B&W photography:

  • How do I see our community?
  • How is my culture alive?
  • How do I see myself?
  • What brings me joy?

Your photo(s) will be exhibited in our online gallery, and may also be selected for inclusion in storefront displays and the Life Exposure exhibitions at Smithers Art Gallery and Misty River Gallery (Hazelton) in October 2013. Please note: All submissions will be displayed and/or printed in B&W.

How can we help you? If you have any questions about upcoming workshops, how to access a camera if you don't own one, or the submission process, please get in touch with us at life_exposure@bvartscouncil.com or call 250-847-3338. We are here to help you in any way we can.

The final submission deadline is August 15, 2013.
